Furniture

The collection of the Slovene Museum of Christianity holds approximately 100 pieces of period furniture. Most of the Baroque, Late Baroque and Biedermeier furniture from the beginning of the 19th century came to the museum from Kozlevčar's antiquity collection. Furniture made for bourgeois and aristocratic homes is known for its inlays and paintings. Mother of pearl and ivory often appear as decorative elements. The collection also includes a nice Baroque cupboard from the Stična monastery that was made in 1767.
