The Slovene Museum of Christianity is located in the old prelacy at the Stična Cistercian Abbey.
Getting here
By car:
Stična is located halfway between Ljubljana and Novo Mesto. From either of these two towns it takes approximately 15 to 20 minutes by car on the A2 motorway. Leave the motorway at the Ivančna Gorica exit and continue through Ivančna Gorica. Follow the road signs for Stična and after two kilometres you will see the majestic buildings of the Stična Abbey. The Slovene Museum of Christianity is located in one of them. The main entrance is on the eastern side of the abbey, next to the stream.
By train:
You can also get to Ivančna Gorica, which is 2 kilometres away from Stična, by train. For more detailed information click on the train schedule. From there, you can continue to Stična by bus.
By bus:
