Museums on a Summer Night
On traditional event Museums on a Summer Night, entrance to both permanent exhibitions and the temporary exhibition “Eucharistic Miracles of the World” is free. Guided tours of the permanent and temporary exhibitions will begin at 8:30 am, 10 am, 2 pm and 4 pm.

Stična manuscript Ms 141 from fifteenth cent.
The museum acquired a valuable item for its permanent exhibition “Life behind Monastic Walls”: a copy of the Stična manuscript Ms 141 from the early fifteenth century. The copy of the original, kept at the National and University Library in Ljubljana, was made at the Archives of the Republic of Slovenia. The item will be presented in greater detail at the Laurence Keep (Lavrencijeva utrdba), where an exhibition on the Stična scriptorium is put on display. Visitors will thus be able to become acquainted with this famous Stična manuscript of special value to Slovene history, being the third oldest document in the Slovene language.

On International Museum Day, entrance to both permanent exhibitions and the temporary exhibition “Eucharistic Miracles of the World” is free. Guided tours of the permanent and temporary exhibitions will begin at 8:30 am, 10 am, 2 pm and 4 pm. An instructive and creative workshop for children will take place at 9:30 am. Workshop participants must register in advance.
