Restoration department

The restoration workshop of the Slovene Museum of Christianity is located at the Serfs’ House. The seventeenth-century house has served different purposes since its construction. Initially it was a bakery, whereas later it was used as accommodation for the monastery’s serfs.

Museum restoration workshop is specialised in the conservation and restoration of paintings and painted wooden sculpture.

For additional information on the restoration of objects please contact the museum’s conservation and restoration expert Irena Rotar, M.A.
