Military Field Hospital - Feldspital 808 and its chapel in Kosovelje na Krasu

On Thursday, 15 May, at 6 pm, we kindly invite you to the opening of a temporary guest exhibition, which we are preparing in cooperation with the Park of Military History Pivka. It will be presented by the author, Janko Boštjančič, and the cultural programme will be co-created by the ensemble Naši fantje, which comes from the Karst region.

The exhibition is hosted in the context of the commemoration of the 110th anniversary of the beginning of the Isonzo Front. Our aim is to preserve the historical memory of the care of wounded soldiers and to raise public awareness of the importance of humanitarian activities in wartime. Knights Hospitaller, which are represented in the permanent exhibition The History of Christianity in Slovenia, were also associated with the Military Field hospital - Feldspital 808.

The exhibition will be on display until 2 November 2025.

On 18 May, International Museum Day, we also invite you to a free guided tour! It will take place at two times, at 1 pm and 3 pm. Please register at info@mks-sticna.si.
